SERVICES
What to expect during your appointment:

CARDIOLOGY CONSULTATION
where we get to the heart of the matter - literally
Your visit begins with a detailed consultation where we review your symptoms, medical history and risk factors. This is followed by a physical examination and, where appropriate, an ECG.
We discuss possible causes of your symptoms, outline the diagnostic plan, and decide together on the next steps. Most first-line investigations are performed immediately in the rooms for convenience and efficiency.
ECHOCARDIOGRAM
just a few simple stickers to see how your heart is doing
Transthoracic Echocardiogram (TTE):
A standard, non-invasive ultrasound performed on the chest to assess heart structure and function. It evaluates chamber sizes, valve function, pumping strength and signs of heart failure. No preparation is required.

Contrast Echocardiogram:
If standard images are not optimal, an intravenous microbubble contrast agent is used to improve the clarity of the heart’s borders and muscle function. This enhances accuracy without affecting kidney function.

STRESS TESTING AND STRESS IMAGING
we'll get your heart racing - in a good way
Stress ECG (Exercise Treadmill Test):
A treadmill ECG test used to evaluate exertional symptoms, rhythm abnormalities and exercise capacity. It helps screen for possible coronary artery disease.

Exercise Stress Echocardiogram:
Combines exercise with ultrasound imaging. The heart is scanned before and immediately after exercise to detect abnormalities in heart muscle function that may indicate restricted blood flow. Offers more diagnostic accuracy than a standard treadmill ECG.
OTHER
these test will be booked as required
These include but are not limited to:
-
Transoesophageal Echocardiogram (TOE):
A high-resolution heart ultrasound performed via the oesophagus for detailed imaging of valves, clots and structural abnormalities. Done under conscious sedation. Same-day discharge. -
Dobutamine Stress Echocardiogram:
For patients unable to exercise, intravenous dobutamine increases the heart rate while ultrasound images detect signs of reduced blood flow. A sensitive test for coronary artery disease. -
Coronary Angiogram:
A catheter-based X-ray test to visualise the coronary arteries and identify blockages or narrowing. Usually performed via the wrist. Most patients go home the same day. -
Pacemaker Implantation:
A device inserted under the skin below the collarbone to treat abnormally slow heart rhythms. Leads are guided into the heart to ensure reliable pacing. -
Cardiac Resynchronization Therapy (CRT):
A specialized pacing system for selected heart failure patients to improve the coordination of the heart’s pumping. Usually involves three leads. -
Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator (ICD):
A device that continuously monitors the heart for dangerous rhythms and can deliver life-saving therapy when needed.
